We’re excited to announce that Oscilla has been selected as a winner in the CONCEPT phase of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Powering the Blue Economy™: Power at Sea Prize! This challenge, launched by the DOE’s Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO), is designed to accelerate innovation in the emerging marine energy industry. The prize encourages the development of cutting-edge technologies that use marine energy to power ocean-based activities, driving progress in the blue economy.
Our team was awarded a $10,000 prize for our wave-powered autonomous underwater vehicle which can be a platform for integration or desired customer payloads for ocean monitoring, defense, homeland security and ISR applications, for extended duration missions.
In the next phase, we’ll work to refine our technology through iterative design, modeling, prototyping, and testing. To learn more about the Power at Sea Prize and see the full list of CONCEPT Phase winners, check out the official announcement here: bit.ly/PowerAtSea_CONCEPT_Winners.

Oscilla Power being selected as a winner for the Power at Sea Prize CONCEPT Phase is a remarkable achievement! Their innovative approach to harnessing ocean energy shows real promise for advancing renewable energy solutions and sustainability worldwide. Such recognition highlights the importance of creative engineering and forward-thinking technology in addressing global energy challenges. In a similar way, industries like fashion and branding also depend on innovation—where embroidery digitizing services play a vital role in turning ideas into professional embroidered designs. Both fields prove how precision, creativity, and expertise can transform concepts into impactful real-world solutions. Congratulations to Oscilla Power!
