Oscilla Power, Inc. has received the composite hull for the 1/6-th scale version of our utility-scale (1 MW rated) Triton wave energy converter, and have started drivetrain integration activities at our facility in Seattle. Our plan is to deploy this system off the coast of Maine later this year. This demonstration will substantially de-risk our utility-scale system and will be a big step towards making ocean wave energy a meaningful part of our shared low-carbon future. This project is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Water Power Technologies Office and the Washington State Department of Commerce (Clean Energy Fund 3) for funding this work. Key project partners include: Glosten, Janicki, Applied Motion Systems, Inc., University of Maine and Spencer Fluid Power who have contributed significantly on this project.
